An Oasis!

Today I decided to hike to the Fortynine Palms Oasis here in Twentynine Palms, where people really like to count palm trees.

The hike begins with climbing about 350 feet, and then descending a little more than 300 feet to get to the oasis.

In the middle of all this dry, hot desert -- suddenly, a bunch of (49?) palm trees.
