I started looking at the western sky about a half hour past sunset, hoping to maybe catch a glimpse of the comet PANSTARRS. This month marks the first time that we can see this comet in the northern hemisphere (it was discovered in 2011 and has only been visible in the southern hemisphere until now). But there were obviously too many houses in the way, it was probably still too bright out, and I was feeling too lazy to go find a better viewing spot, so I'll give it a go some other night. You should check it out, too!
