I wasn't really sure how I wanted to do this. I've been to a lot of places that I haven't bothered "sharing" about. But I guess what's unique about this trip is that I bought a one-way ticket and life is going to be different from now on, at least for a while anyway. I want to share this experience with the people I care about and who care about me.
Hey Jess, been following your beautiful blog and living vicariously through you and your excellent adventure. You look great and your pix are awesome. Especially thinking of you today; was it you or Pam who ran the Boston Marathon? Can only say God bless us, everyone. Stay happy and I'll keep checking in. Much love, Vicki Kammer
Hi Vicki! Thanks so much -- I'm really enjoying sharing with everyone through pictures :)
Yes, Monday was a very very sad day. Neither Pam nor I has run the Boston Marathon, actually. Pam has been a spectator in the past (I think last year). She has also definitely qualified to run Boston on many occasions. What has happened is just so devastating -- it is very difficult to see such a familiar scene turned so violent and chaotic. It is hard to put into words the way that I feel every time that I think about this. My heart is with all of the people who were there, who were hurt, who were killed. Just everyone. Boston itself.
I miss you all back home very much. I think of you and Lou often. Love you guys!
